RaceDay Onsite Adventure Day Camp

Currently only at J&J Race and Trail Running Reunion in March. Adventure Camp is only one day - Saturday, March 12, 2022. We will update here if we are able to offer this at more events coming up.

Mom and/Or Dad race while their children are taken care of by
super-fun, highly-trained, adventure camp professionals!
Small charge for the day camp is:
$25 for Morning Only (7am-noon)
$40 for Full Day (8am-6pm)

Steps To Get In

1) READ the Intro Info below & the Event Specific Itinerary link above.
2) REGISTER (click on the main Register link on the main page of the event you want in for & scroll down).
3) READ After you register each of your children one at a time, come back to this page & read the "Important Info" at the bottom of the page.
4) DECIDE which pick up & drop off time you want to use.
5) SHOW UP on Race Weekend, fill out the waiver, commit to the pick up time from the choices & everyone go have fun!
6) SIGN UP for Camp Eagle Summer Camps after you fall in love with them! :)

Intro Info

  • Obviously the Day Camp starts after some races begin. You may start late after you drop your child(ren) off. Just let the timer know you need to do this before starting. Your time will not be adjusted, and all original cut-offs stay the same, but you are welcome to start late if we know you need to.

  • We don't have this service available at all races, but you can see the list at the top of this page (check back later, it's changing all the time).

  • The organizations we have found to host this Day Camp are the very best at what they do. See below for info about the Raceday Camp Hosts.

  • Below is a list of example activities you MIGHT see (we are not guaranteeing any of the mentioned activities at any certain event):

Important Info

  • No lunch provided. You will need to leave your child(ren) with lunch, credit card or cash for the food truck.

  • You may start late (specific late start times shown in each event's itinerary link).

  • You may only pick up & drop off your kiddo(s) at the listed times. (specific early pickup times shown in each event's itinerary link).
    Please stick to these allotted times, as it's very important for the camp staff to ensure all children's safety.

  • You'll need to do the quick registration before dropping your child(ren) off. You can do that on the online reg form for any event, or onsite (unless it's maxed out before race weekend).

  • The activities are all adventure-based, but practice the challenge-by-choice philosophy. Which means your child(ren) will have the opportunity to try some really cool stuff, but will never be forced into anything.

  • Minimum age = 4 years old please. Maximum age = 13. Please note that 4 & 5 year olds will not participate in the more strenuous outdoor activities. While they will have plenty of fun activities, it will be more like babysitting.

  • Led by leaders in the Youth Adventure Camp industry.

  • All safety precautions taken care of by their professional staff. Not affiliated with Tejas Trails.

  • Amazing intentional adventure activities provided.

  • No gear necessary.

  • Don't forget to leave your child(ren) with money for lunch from the food truck or Dining Hall onsite.

  • All family members are responsible to pay Special Event Fee or Park Entrance Fee upon park entry (12 & under free at most venues, but different per venue).
