Day 1

2:00 - 5:00pm: Check in, settle into your room and hang out at the Pacer’s Penthouse

6:00 pm: Welcome dinner and briefing

8:00 pm: Trail Run/Hike to the Star-Gazing Deck

Day 2

6:00 am: Group run with multiple distance options led by cool, experienced Running Guides. (Don’t worry. We don’t drop anyone.)

9:00 am: Breakfast available

11:00 am - 4:00pm: Optional Activities

Day 3

6:00 am: Group run of your choice focused on trail running skills (uphill, downhill, rocks, sand)

9:00 am: Breakfast available

11:00 am - 4:00pm: Optional Activities (same as Day 2)

6:00 pm: Dinner and a speaker/movie night and Relay Team assignments

8:00 pm: Night run with multiple distances available

Day 4

8:00 am: Relay Race (for prizes). This will be a fun chance to put all the various things practiced throughout the weekend to the test. For those competitive spirits, don’t worry, teams will be balanced so every team has a fighting chance to win.

12:00 pm: Lunch and departures

*We’ll be asking registrants for education session ideas before the trip to ensure we cover the topics you want to learn.

Camp Eagle is nestled in a stunning and rugged landscape. The Edwards Plateau boasts spring-fed hills, dramatic cliffs, and scenic valleys. With over 30 miles of trails weaving through ravines and over hills, it offers the perfect escape from the noise and crowds of the city.

Beyond its beautiful setting, Camp Eagle offers a variety of comfortable accommodations to recharge after a day on the trails. Whether you want to relive your summer camp days in a bunk dorm or enjoy the seclusion of a private room, there’s a perfect option for everyone. The dining services are both delicious and comforting, always served with a smile to keep you fueled for every adventure.

Then there are the activities! If relaxing by a spring-fed river with a good book is on your list, there are beautiful decks over-looking the spring-fed Nueces River all around the lodging area. If you want adventure, this is your place. Camp Eagle has been deemed Texas premier adventure destination more than once. They boast the 9th longest continuous zipline in the world, as well as a little tamer, but still fun 850 dual zipline. There are rappelling opportunities, rock climbing on great limestone bluffs (from 30 feet, up to 160 feet tall). They have a huge super-swing that is sure to get your adrenaline going, as well as a plethora of other choices. Of course, if you have to poke in some internet time, there is a lounge with wifi and indoor relaxing spaces as well.

Dorm room with 12-14 bunk beds in it. The best way to get the full social experience.

Upgrades Available:

  • $60 per person to upgrade to a private-use dorm room

  • $105 per person to upgrade to a private hotel-style single queen room

  • $195 per person to upgrade to a private hotel-style upstairs suite

Meals are provided family-style by the Camp Eagle chefs (accommodations for most dietary restrictions).

  • Everything is optional. This running camp is for you. Take the time you need to leave recharged and excited about running.

  • Absolutely! The Tejas Trails Family is known for its welcoming spirit—we’ve never met a stranger. We’ll make sure you connect with like-minded people and form new friendships.

  • We love traveling with our friends and know you do too. Bring the whole crew! You will likely get split up for runs and classes, but that will give you a chance ot meet new people. You'll come together with your crew for all of the meals and fun activities.

  • Come join the fun! We know what it’s like to step into something new, and we’re committed to making trail running accessible for everyone. We’ll ensure you get plugged in, with options scaled to every experience level.

  • This trip offers something for everyone. We’ll make sure you’re challenged and picking up new skills, and you might discover you can help someone else on their trail running journey as well."

  • Sadly, Camp Eagle doesn’t allow dogs. Since multiple groups share the camp, they prohibit dogs to avoid making anyone uncomfortable.

  • We truly mean it when we say we handle all the details. We have plans in place for emergency evacuations, shelter during bad weather, and trained medical first responders on-site.

  • There’s no such thing as slow runners—only runners who like to make the good times last! Our run groups will be organized by pace and skill, and we have a no-drop policy. We’ll make sure you’re supported, no matter how long you take on the run.
