Where: Hippo Social Club, 3250 Limmer Loop, Hutto, TX 78634
What: Final trail clean up, trimming back, and improving freshly built trail
GENERAL INFO:
Hippo Social Club will be managing the details of this trip. They are an awesome organization, doing incredible things for the residents and visitors to Hutto, TX.
Families and kids of all ages are welcome. The trails are for everyone! These work days offer the chance to work side-by-side with old friends and make new friends.
Each day will start at 9:00am and end around Noon. They will have some snacks, food, and drinks for everyone.
After the trail work, you can enjoy a cold plunge, sauna, recovery tools, and run, hike or ride on the trails to enjoy your effort and see a course preview!
LOGISTICS DETAILS:
We will be working from 9:00am - Noon each day. We ask everyone to arrive at 8:45am if possible so that we can coordinate work groups. Depart at any time. If you can’t meet at that time, just let the Hippo Social Club folks know. Tracey at hellohipposocialclub@gmail.com.
We will be meeting at the picnic tables in the main area of Hippo Social Club. There is parking right there and it’s all easy to find.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING:

You do not need a camping chair, camping gear or a headlamp for this event.
If you have a string trimmer that you are willing to bring, we could use it. Tejas Trails will reimburse you for any gas and oil used.
If you have a hand saw or light duty chainsaw, some light trimming back of freshly grown foliage will be needed.
We won’t need any light lawn tools like leaf rakes, or hardcore things like rock bars. It’s a pretty low profile area with soft soil for the most part. We’ll have tools that you’ll need beyond that.
