Tejas Trail Crew - HCSNA Volunteer Trail Building & Running Trips

  • Hill Country State Natural Area 10600 Bandera Creek Road Bandera, TX, 78003 United States (map)

Trail work trip at Hill Country State Natural Area, with Course Preview runs for Cactus Rose & HOKA Bandera Trail Races

Every year, we make multiple trips to give back to various trail systems we use for events and where we simply enjoy running and cycling. On some trips, we’ll be creating new trails. Others we’ll be trimming back existing trails. On some meet-ups we will be primarily plogging (running while picking up trash). All of these trips are a blast every time! We will work hard, play hard, do some running and course previews for upcoming races, thank the local trail stewards, and generally eat, drink and be merry! We hope everyone takes part in some giving back every once in a while. It makes the world around us much better!

We’re thankful for our friends at HOKA for their support of HOKA Bandera Trail Race and this annual volunteer trail work effort!

The HCSNA trip is our big trip of the year! We need a lot of people to sign up for this one. Please spread the word!

GENERAL DETAILS:

  • This is a Cactus Rose and HOKA Bandera course preview running weekend + Q&A with the Race Director + trail building.

  • We will be highlighting and training on the best parts of the race course, and offering Q&A sessions with the Race Directors.

  • We will be working on some much needed, more sustainable new trails that will help the park be able to keep their trails open more when it rains. This is a great thing for the park, and will create a better situation for our annual races out there!

  • We will be enjoying a lot of relaxing and hanging out with old friends and new friends to be made between running and trail work sessions.

  • The park needs us. Please bring your friends.
